Staff Member: Melanie Martin-Trainor
My name is Melanie Martin-Trainor. My family and I joined the parish in 2004 and I knew from the beginning that someday I would work here. After Easter in 2011, there was a bulletin advertisement searching for a part-time accountant. I knew instantly that this would be the beginning of my service to St. Pius X. I began in July 2011 with the desire to become full time someday as the children grew up. In January 2014, I was offered the Business Administrator position. This is exactly what I desired for myself and my family. I am very proud to say that I work for St. Pius X Church. At St. Pius, I am responsible for all financial aspects of our parish including preparation and presentation of all financial affairs to the Finance Council, Archdiocese of Dubuque and to our parishioners. I manage our technology needs to assure that our staff and parishioner needs are met including our website publishing. I am also the “point person” for inquiries on pastorate business and administrative matters, making appropriate referrals as needed. Last but not least – I assure that our Buildings and Grounds are maintained. The Building & Grounds part of my position is my greatest joy – and because of all of you that contribute to this fund, you make it possible to keep St. Pius X Church a beautiful place to worship.
